These were taken with my new 50mm lens. I am in love with the look it gives. These were just taken on the fly at home of my girls and I will probably blow them up and

treasure them forever.

I purchased this lens because it's supposed to be the best potrait lens out there.

Going back to school

I am trying to get everything prepared to go back to college this summer. I know it will be a huge sacrafice for my family, but it is something I have dreamed about for quite some time now. I have applied and am in the process of sending transcripts over. They also said I may have to take a compass test before I begin since I have been out of college for so long. I am so excited at the possiblity. Everyone keep me in your thoughts during this transition please!

It's not all in the camera

Since the price of digital camera's has come to a more reasonable price in the past year many more people are purchasing cameras. But remember it's not all in how expensive a camera is or all the tricks it can do. Just purchasing the camera is not going to produce great looking pictures. Composure, lighting and a whole mix of things go into making a great photograph. Some tips to are try to avoid a lot of distractions in the background. Make sure that when you are setting up a photo that you pay close attention to your composure, zoom in and out to see what looks best. For instance the picture above was taken with my sisters digital camera, and it is one of my favorites. But it is just an example that you can take great photographs with a cheaper camera.

You don't have to have the newest model out to get a great looking photograph.
